OVEN REPAIR TIPS:
1. Oven won't bake or broil
If the bake or the broiler heating elements not heat, but the range burners still work, the clock may be set for a timed or self-cleaning cycle. Check if the clock buttons and knobs are set properly. In case if clock has a knob that says push for manual - push the knob in and try the baking & broiling elements again. If the oven still does not operate properly, you probably have a defected thermostat, selector switch, or bad wiring. If your oven does not have a separate bake/broil selector switch, the problem may be with the thermostat. If you suspect a problem in this area, call a qualified appliance technician.
2. The oven's door won't close
If the oven door has bent or warped, you need to remove the door, disassemble it, and straighten it. You can lift most oven doors off of their hinges by opening the door several inches to its first stop, and lifting the entire door straight up. If the hinges have become damaged, bentor worn, you need to replace them. We recommend replacing both hinges at the same time, to prevent uneven wear of the undamaged hinge.
3. Self-cleaning problem
To be able to set and use the self-cleaning feature, you need to read the owner's manual. If you have problems with this system, call a qualified appliance technician.
4. Gas smell!
If you smell gas coming from your unit, you may be in danger!
STOVE and RANGE REPAIR TIPS:

3. Gas - If the top burners of the stove or cooktop are not lighting
Wipe off the burner with a hot, damp rag and then dry completely.

Make sure the clock is set on the manual and not the automatic cycle.
Rase up the stove top and make sure that the area clean and free of grease build-up.
MICROWAVE REPAIR TIPS:
Always use microwave safe dishes.
Do not use aluminum foil or anything with metal on it. (Unless your microwave specifically allows it. Check your owner's manual) Wipe the seal off with a wet rag and dry it thoroughly as often as needed. Do not twist, bend, or slam the door in any way.
REFRIGERATOR REPAIR TIPS:
1. If your refrigerator is not running or is not cold enough
You can turn the thermostat up to the next highest setting.
If it comes on, let it run for 24 hours and check temperature to confirm it
is working properly.
Remove everything blocking the air flow around the outside of the refrigerator
(on top, behind, beside, in front of, etc.).
Allow 3" of clearance all the way around.
If there are condenser coils on the rear of the box, make sure the box is several
inches from the wall and that nothing is on top at the rear, blocking the heat from
coming off the coils.
Clean the coils with a vacuum cleaner thoroughly at least twice a year.
Proper temperature inside the freezer section makes ice maker work accordingly.
2.If the door is sticking or not closing properly
Wipe off the face of the gasket with a wet rag and make sure the interior shelves,
drawers and food are not preventing the door from closing from the inside.
FREEZER REPAIR TIPS:
1.If the freezer is not self-defrosting and the temperatures started to rise
Check the frost buildup on the inside of the freezer. If it is heavily frosted, manually defrost the freezer by turning it off at the thermostat. Unplug from the wall and allow 12 hours for the unit to defrost, with both doors open.
2. If the unit is not an automatic self-defrosting model
Defrost the unit at list once a year or as often as needed. Follow the proper defrosting methods. Never use a knife, pickstick, hammer, chisel, screwdriver or any sharp object.

Follow the proper loading procedure operation. Never overload the machine.
DRYER REPAIR TIPS:
If the clothes are not getting dry
Make sure the dryer is not pushed back against the rear exhaust duct causing an air flow restriction. Make sure the clothes are coming out of the washer damp dry. If the washer is not spinning the clothes damp dry, the dryer will not dry the clothes in a normal amount of time.
Follow the proper loading procedure and machine operation.
Never overload the dryer
DISHWASHER REPAIR TIPS:
1. If the dishes are not getting clean
Make sure the water is hot enough. It should be at least 140 degrees, which is hot enough to burn you. If it is not hot enough, turn the hot water heater thermostat up to a higher setting. Make sure the lower spray arm is unobstructed and turning freely. Make sure the bottom inside the dishwasher is clean and free of debris. Make sure you are following the proper loading procedures.
Use the proper amount of detergent and make sure the detergent is fresh..
2. If the door isn't closing
Make sure that the latch assembly is unrestricted and latching properly.
Make sure nothing is blocking the door from opening and properly.
3. If the dishwasher is leaking

GARBAGE DISPOSAL REPAIR TIPS:
If the unit jams/hums
Turn the unit off. After turning the unit off, remove anything that has fallen into the grinding chamber. When the unit off, insert provided, with the disposal, special unjammingl tool into the disposal and turn clockwise. If the garbage disposal is dead, press the red reset button located on the bottom of the disposal. If the unit begins to hum and the reset trips again, it is still jammed. Call a qualified appliance technician.

Recommendations and Tips for Do it Your Self maintenance for Air Conditioners & Heaters:
|
|
|
INDOOR:
1. Replace the indoor A/C unit's air filter every second month
If the filter is old or dirty it will make air conditioner and all equipment to work harder, resulting in energy waste and possible internal damage. In case if you have a reusable/washable filter, make sure that filter has completely dried after washing and prior to reinstalling.
2. Check the blower compartment of your heater, furnace or blower coil.
Your furnace or blower coil may be located in a closet, attic or basement.
To remove any dirt or dust from furnace or blower coils, which can result in improper performance and low efficiency, use a vacuum cleaner.
Make sure that the coil is dry prior to vacuuming.
You should remove clutter from around the furnace or blower coil if its a case. Removing clutter applies to your equipment no matter where it is located. Items stored near the furnace are fire hazards. They may also obstruct combustion air supply. This could cause complete combustion and the production of carbon monoxide gas
3. Check the flue pipe for tightness, blockages or loose connections
The gas furnace flue pipe must remain properly connected and free of blockage to the furnace to operate correctly. If repairs are required, call a qualified technician.
4. Keep return registers/grilles clear of obstructions.
The return register/grille must remain free of obstructions such as furniture, lint, dust for the system to operate properly.
OUTDOR:
Trim brush and shrubbery near outdoor condensing unit to prevent airflow obstruction and clean outdoor coil.
It is important to provide unrestricted airflow to the outdoor A/C unit. Leaves, trash or shrubs crowding will cause the unit to work harder and use more energy. Also remove any debris that may have collected around the unit. The outdoor coil on air conditioner or heat pump can sometimes become obstructed by grass clippings, leaves, dust, etc. If this happens, using a garden hose, gently run water over the coil, removing unwanted obstructions. Make sure outdoor unit remains level. Ground setting or shifting can cause to air conditioner or heat pump to sit in an uneven position. If this happens, re-level the unit properly.
